PARKING: No vehicles will be allowed on the grounds except in the infield of the race track via the north gate, at the east gate entrance near the National Guard Armory, or at the south gate entrance parking lot.
DELIVERY VEHICLES: Use the EAST GATE from Nelson Parkway.
HANDICAP PARKING: Handicap parking use both the West, South and North Gates.

- Open Class exhibitors/exhibits are limited to Vernon County residents, except for Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goats, Beef Cattle, Sheep and Rabbits classes, these are open to any resident of Wisconsin, pending space availability.
- Junior Fair exhibitors/exhibits are limited to Vernon County residents and Non-Vernon County residents, if they belong to an approved Vernon County Agricultural Society organization.
- There shall be no beverages in glass bottles allowed on the grounds. There shall be no smoking in any buildings.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the fairgrounds during fair.
- All show dogs on the fairgrounds must be on a leash except during showing period in Hanson Arena and have current rabies vaccinations tags. Fair Board Directors and Police officers have the right to eject any dog from the fairgrounds at any time.
- No dogs allowed on the Vernon County Fair Grounds except for show dogs and service dogs.
- Exhibitors are responsible for their own exhibits. The Vernon County Agricultural Society will provide reasonable security for all exhibits but assumes no liability for exhibits damaged or lost during the exhibit period.
- For your safety barns will be closed during show time to non-exhibitors.
- No Junior exhibitor will be allowed to stay on the grounds overnight in any buildings on the grounds. This rule will be enforced by night security and by the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Society. Violation will subject member to forfeiture of premiums.
- Veterinary services performed on the fair grounds will be paid for by the exhibitor.
- Only a minimum of pine shavings along with straw are allowed in all the livestock barns. No truck loads of hardwood sawdust will be permitted
- Persons using Fairgrounds Wash Racks must use Bio-Degradable Soap only, when washing animals. State regulations prohibit non-Bio-Degradable Soap residue in the waste water generated.
- The use of common watering troughs on the Vernon County Fairgrounds is prohibited.
- Teat dip will not be furnished. You must bring your own.
PRE-REGISTRATION OF ENTRIES
- All entries, Open Class and Junior Fair Leaders must be turned in at the Vernon County Fairground Office, in Viroqua by 4:30 p.m. first Wednesday in August. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
- Exhibitor’s passes must be purchased at the time of making entries.
- Open class entries may be sent to: Vernon County Ag Society, S3784 Bakkom Rd, Viroqua 54665. Make checks payable to Vernon County Agricultural Society. Exhibitor’s pass of $15.00 plus processing fees MUST accompany entries.
- THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES REGISTERED OR SUBSTITUTED on opening day of the fair.
- Open class passes and registration tags may be picked up at the fair office during pre-fair office hours.
- All Junior Fair and Open Class forms can be found on our website at vernoncountyfair.com and can be printed from there. Junior Fair entry emails must be turned to your club leader.
- All Club signs must be removed from barns by 10pm the Monday after Fair. Room is needed for storage of high equipment in all buildings.
- Must have taken YQCA.
- All Junior Fair and Open Class entries for Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Swine, Horses, Poultry, and Rabbit exhibits must be in place by 6 p.m. on Wednesday week of fair, except for Open Class Dairy and Draft Horses. Open class Dairy Cattle must be in place by 11 a.m. on Thursday week of fair. Check in for Junior Fair and Open Class animals are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday of the fair and Open Class Dairy Cattle can be checked in on Thursday between 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. week of fair. Check in time for Draft Horses is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday week of fair.
- ALL ANIMALS HAVE TO COME IN THE EAST GATE ONLY WHERE THEY WILL BE CHECKED BY A VET BEFORE ENTERING THE FAIRGROUNDS. ANIMALS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER ANY OF THE OTHER GATES EXCEPT HARNESS RACING HORSES IN THE WEST GATE.
- All animals must have the Vernon County Fair Animal ID and Vet Check-In Information along with Health Papers relating to the animal.
- The completed Animal ID and Vet Check-In Information will be given to the building Superintendent for Animal ID Verification.
- Animals that do not have the Animal ID and Vet Check-In Information form will not be allowed onto the fairgrounds.
- All other Junior Fair and Open class exhibits must be in the exhibit building by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday week of fair.
- Exhibit buildings will be open to receive exhibits on Tuesday evening week of fair, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in all classes except livestock, poultry and rabbits.
- Superintendent shall have the right to refuse any entries brought in after these time limits.
- Commercial Exhibitors are encouraged to set up their exhibits on Wednesday week of fair. They must be in place by 9:00 a.m. on Thursday week of fair.
- Board of Directors reserve the right to reject any exhibits it feels are objectionable.
Release time for exhibits on Sunday week of fair shall be as follows:
- Animal exhibits 4:00 p.m.
- All other exhibits 5:00 p.m.
- Buildings will remain open until 6:00 p.m. or until there are no project left.
- Exhibitors are responsible for picking up their exhibits by 6:00pm Sunday of fair.
- Projects that are removed from the buildings/grounds before release time, no premium will be paid.
